The arch. Marco Casamonti has been chosen as ambassador of Italian Design in Vietnam in the important event Italian Design Day 2020 – IDD, organized from 2017 by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation with the support of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities and for Tourism.
The architect’s speech will have as its theme “Tradition – Translation – Treachery ” and will be visible in streaming on YouTube on 5 November from 8:00 am.
IDD includes a rich agenda of promotional events organized by the network of Embassies, Consulates, Italian Cultural Institutes and ICE Offices abroad. The theme of Italian Design Day 2020 is “Designing the future. Development, innovation, sustainability, beauty” and is strongly linked to the proactive capacity of Italian design and the extended Made in Italy system to envisage new development scenarios, capable of overcoming self-referential rhetoric and keeping the improvement of life and the protection of the planet at the center of the proposals. The theme is even more topical if we compare it to the context of the sanitary emergency that we are all experiencing.
